Can Tymlos cause depression and/or constipation?

Can Tymlos cause depression and/or constipation? I’ve read that it can. I want to start Tymlos, but worry about these two side effects.

I have been taking it for a month and haven’t felt those symptoms. I get low BP ( cut bp meds in half) and some nausea and dizziness which is better now.

joyceskemp0624, both. I think you can blame high calcium. You can help your body adjust by starting a lower dose. I would though take the first injection while hydrated. It can helps to have a little caffeine and a little salt.
Tymlos slows digestion. You can start by eating less, having sufficient fiber and adding magnesium glycinate to your supplements.
I hope you have a good experience. Tymlos is such a good drug for osteoporosis. I haven't taken it, though. I'm on the similar Forteo.

Thank you so much. I’m going to try Tymlos soon and I plan to watch out for the symptoms you mention. I’m glad to know you are better and of course wish you the best and hope it works for you!

I found Tymlos to cause constipation. I've been taking it for almost one year. I had a little nausea at first, but that stopped pretty quickly. Constipation, however, is an ongoing problem. I add oat bran to my breakfast cereal and try to eat high-fiber foods. Stool softeners also help me.
Good luck! I hope you don't have this or any other problem with Tymlos!

I can’t thank you enough. I’ll be starting Tymlos shortly. Now I know what to expect. I’m going to try the oat bran!
I don’t eat much and I’m not sure of other high fiber foods to try or can tolerate (acid reflux) I use stool softeners already. May I ask what you found that you liked and were successful with? Thank you again! Joyce

I eat a lot of salads, fruits and veggies. I try to limit cheese and drink plenty of water. Again, the stool softeners are helpful. The oat bran worked like magic for me for constipation before I started on Tymlos, but the challenge is more difficult, for me anyway, on Tymlos.
