NET Stage 2 in Stomach
I was just diagnosed yesterday. Looking for information, and in particular from anyone with stomach NET. Mine is “well differentiated NET of stomach Grade 2. “ I will be having a wedge surgery after a 2nd endoscopy and an MRI.

I had no symptoms. I had a endoscopy and they found it!

3 ReactionsThis is my second NET in my stomach. One looked like an ulcer and the other was a polyp. They both were removed by endoscopy. Do you go to a Doctor that specializes in NETs?

2 Reactions@tomrennie Hi
I already have GERD, a small
hiatal hernia and IBS. I am now experiencing a feeling like my stomach is in my throat and I get a little short of breath because of it. I also have a pain in the middle of my abdomen and the GERD is much worse.
I had endoscopy and the polyp was found and biopsied then.

1 Reaction@donnalb4 I will assume that you are asking me that question. Just an FYI, if you hit the blue reply button underneath each comment, it shows who you are responding too.
I do see a doctor that specializes in NETs at Mayo in Phoenix. I was diagnosed in 8/22 with a PNET that spread primarily to my liver and bones. I have been living on chemo since. Are you seeing a NETs specialist?

1 Reaction@soonermimi That all sounds rather unpleasant. Sorry you have to go through that, but I can unfortunately relate to most of what you are experiencing. When is your MRI scheduled?

1 Reaction@donnalb4 Here is a resource from the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation to search for a NET Specialist. Let me know, if you have any questions.

1 Reaction@donnalb4 there are none here in Tulsa where I live. I could go to OKC and have a laparoscopic surgery which would be less invasive, but I am opting for a resection instead and will have it done by a local surgeon who does oncology gastric surgery.
I got a second opinion from Mayo and they agreed with the current treatment.

1 ReactionMy husband also has a NET with mets to the peritoneal and liver. I am very interested in learning more about your upcoming wedge surgery. I pray it goes well for you, and would love to hear your feedback afterwards when you’re up to it.
