MDS: Does it affect your sleep?
If you have MDS do you think it has anything to do with not sleeping all night? I wake up 3-4 am every night. I will be up for an hour or so then go back to sleep until 9 am or so and I've never had that problem a few years back.

My husband has MDS and he does not sleep well at night too, but is so tired and sleeps in the day time.
My MDS is being treated with INQOVI. I have trouble sleeping and while I am in remission from AML have experienced joint pain during my treatment for AML. That pain was helped by taking Arthritis formula Tylenol and at night Tylenol PM.
My joint pain has become overall body aches since starting INQOVI the last week of June. Neither of the aforementioned Tylenol products have helped me with my overall body aches. Video call this week with my Hem/Onc to alert him to the pain I feel maybe associated with INQOVI (a known side effect).
I do know sugar causes me inflammation so I do watch my refined sugar intake which has helped me narrow down the cause of my pain and sleeplessness.
I do nap during the day when time permits.

2 ReactionsI saw a new article published in Nature magazine which discussed sleep and exercise and the effect on JAK2 or TET2 mutations re reduced atherosclerosis. I hope that they are reviewing its effect on more than just atherosclerosis.

1 ReactionI have MDS and don’t sleep well. A Benadryl does help me.
Agreed; sleep suffers, also needing more of it even with TCM helping so much with energy and such. The only way for me to get good, deep sleep for me is to completely exhaust myself after a full day of movement which also comes at a price.
The best sleep recently was on my 66th; took the day off work and moved for 66 kilometers (41.3 miles) of trail running, cycling and hiking to close it out. Slept just over 11 hours waking only once.
Other than that, two thngs have helped me.
One is more and better magnesium. Magnesium bisglycinate powder about an hour before bed with 5-HTP. The other is an isochronic tone generator, found on mynoise.net/NoiseMachines/isochronicBrainwaveGenerator.php
