Aromatase VS estrogen blocking supplements
I am not wanting to start taking aromatase medication due to all the side effects. Has someone had experience with not taking the aroma taters and using more of a nature pathic method we have some clinics in our area. There are lots of estrogen reduction supplements on the market. I had early detection breast cancer that was estrogen positive

I have taken AI for over five years, Anastrazole, and have not had a single issue or problem. Have you considered a trial run to see if you actually do have issues? What I was told at the onset was if I had an issue with the anastrozole, the oncologist would work with me to find medication that would both suppress estrogen and not cause undesired side effects.
It is Not a given that every patient given an AI medication will have problems.

In addition to reducing your risk of return of breast cancer, aromatase inhibitors in recent studies, 2024, are showing a statistically significant decrease in the development of dementia.

1 Reaction@trixie1313 Glad you found the right hormone blocker are you still experiencing little side affects. I could barely handle the Letrazole it has been horrible.

I made it to 5 years and then stopped...because the cancer had broken through my lymph nodes, I was advised to continue to 7 years, but I had had enough! I am now 8 years post-diagnosis and, so far, so good! Stay positive...all the best to you.

2 Reactions@trixie1313 thank you I do hear that many women handle the hormone blocker 5 years is a good run.
You stopped because it stopped working ? Is that my understanding?
@mysweetmerlin1
I stopped because I just got tired of the aches and pains. My hope is if and when this returns, there will be new treatments...until then, I am living one day at a time and looking forward to each day.
