Tramadol off-label for anxiety & chronic pain best dose IR or ER

Hi,
this is my first post, forgive me if I don't get it right.
I have just begun a trial of Tramadol 50mg once a day, am, for chronic neck, back and shoulder pain. I have suffered some anxiety and depression since I had a stroke years ago.
Has anyone found the dosage "sweet spot" for Tramadol Instant Release or Tramadol Extended release, for treating depression and anxiety as well as chronic pain. Thanks.

I recently began tramadol for cancer bone pain, especially at night. I recently heard of melatonin research for chronic pain. Has anyone tried it? Result?
