Swelling
Can anyone tell me why I am swelling on my right side under my incision? I just noticed today. I feel fine.

I have no guess but I suggest going to the er as soon as possible to check it out. It may be, hopefully , nothing but may be important. Glad you feel fine otherwise. Good luck Hugh.

2 ReactionsI would guess fluid pooling which seems to be fairly common post-op but I agree it needs to be checked. If the ER option or Urgent Care isn’t easy for you - reach out to your transplant team. They may be able to order a CT scan for you locally to get some answers. Sending healing thoughts for you.

3 ReactionsHi Hugh,
If you're feeling good and your blood tests are fine, I would start by mentioning it to your care team. To get to the cause, you will probably need a CT scan as Sarah mentioned. A common cause of an enlarged area like could be a hernia and the bloating it brings with it.

2 ReactionsGood morning, I would check to see if it's not a hernia. First check with your family doctor primary caregiver. Whatever the heck you call it down there and rule out a hernia. Looks like a hernia to me

2 ReactionsI had a bulge one year after my transplant and it was a hernia which took another surgery my scar tissue is paper thin and won’t heal back to normal I now am limited to lifting 20 pounds I would get a ct scan immediately don’t think it’s going going to go away it won’t take care and get repaired again
