Brinsupri and skin darkening
I believe I saw a comment from someone regarding skin color changes on Brinsupri. I've been on it for 7 months. My only side effect is the occasional mild headache and now I'm noting a slightly darker complexion in my normally very fair skin.
I plan to ask the pharmacist but thought I'd pose the question to the group.

I'm getting other skin changes, not darkening so far, but I notice you like to garden and landscape. Have your Drs told you to wear an N95 mask when you displace any soil or esp. mulch and potting soil as that's a big source of MAC? Goes for raking leaves, pretty much any kind of outside garden or yard work. It's hard in a mask in the heat, but I do it and haven't had to have MAC treated since first few years after 2008 diagnosis.

Yes. I started wearing a mask outside right away when I found out "playing in the dirt" is likely my source of the bacteria.
So that's just it. Somehow my facial skin has managed a "tan" despite the double layer of sun protection. I can't say about the rest of me but I do wear sunblock religiously.
I'll check with the pharmacist and also in this group as maybe others have noticed a slight change in skin tone on Brinsupri.
TY!
