Problems with Trimix?

If you have not had radiation then ProACT Works well and a sling also can work for some people. I’ve heard a lot of satisfaction with both.

I answered this wrong. There are two different types of implants and one of them is AUS and the other one is a penile implant.

At this time, there is only the penile implant. There are a couple of companies that produce a product to do it. There’s more in the pipeline that are going to be Controlled by the phone to get an erection or to drop it. Right now you sort of have to press a “button” in the scrotum.

I’ve run into a situation that will require some guidance. My wife and I have tried 4 injections of Trimix T105 30 Pap 1 Phen 10 Alpro. We injected .05, .1, .15, and .2 so far. The largest dosage of .2 gave me nothing more than the .05 dosage but was not very comfortable due to the increased volume of fluid. Truthfully, all four attempts provided not much more than 50mg of Viagra or 20mg of Cilalis. My wife is a retired surgeon with 40 years of practicing medicine in her specialty. She is doing every injection. I trust her ability to inject into the corpus cavernosum perfectly due to a couple of things. I have no bleeding or bruising and I do get a response albeit less than one might expect. She sees blood engorgement in the Glans and blood flow in the shaft but not enough to significantly harden the erection. And finally, what erection I get lasts about 30 to 40 minutes and deflates immediately after orgasm.

We have drawn the Trimix out of only one vial of T105. The second vial is in the freezer and has been since we brought it home. So I have a final statement and a question. First, the statement. My wife, being a physician, believes that quadrupling the dosage should show some signs of increasing the effectiveness. But we see virtually no improvement in hardness and longevity between .05 and .2 so far. And now that .2 seemed to increase the discomfort from the injection, she is reluctant to increase the dosage if 4 increases did nothing to improve the result. And what is the possibility I might need a stronger version of Trimix?

@mach talk to your urologist could be a different mix would work for you, or higher dosage. Possibly of venomous leak. Just some thoughts from a fellow cancer survivor, not a doctor. Good luck to you I used Trimix for almost 3 years and glad I had that option, I am now recovering from a penal implant surgery. When I started Trimix I started at .10 or .15 but ended up at .32 that is number on the syringe my doctor originally thought I would end up at 20 to .25 but once I got to the correct dosage it always worked for 1 1/2 to 2 hours and it was uncomfortable while erect afterwards but last 6 months had gotten worse for me thus implant. I spent @ $2000 in 3years on Trimix. I do hope you can get a solution to your problem soon.

Similar to poster jasonfarmer, I used trimix following RALP Prostate Surgery 24 months ago. Trimix worked OK at .1 units right after surgery then over succeeding 6 months, it stopped working. Went to a sexual medicine Urologist that ran a bunch of tests including blood work then administered a maximum dose (that did not work). They used an ultrasound to determine that I had developed fibrosis on one side of penis likely from surgical nerve or vascular injury. Now I am at 6 months post implant, no more Trimix and my 4 month supply of Cialis is expiring on the shelf.
Recommend you see a Urologist or Sexual Medicine specialist. They will evaluate your current Trimix prescription and likely offer you alternatives, They can also do a hormone workup and evaluate penis health to determine if the lack of results of Trimix is related to some physical problem.

@mach I use 25 to get 1-1/2 hour. 1 would do nothing for me.

@graybeard46 I’ve also had this same issue. It hurts to even touch it. It takes hours for the pain to be manageable and it’s still sore for part of the next day. I’ve been trying this for four months, alternating injection sites, depth of the needle and so on. I just don’t think that it’s gonna be compatible with me. Which is a major letdown.

@rbsavannah sorry to hear I feel for you and others in the same boat . My only suggestion is the few times you hopefully were able to have sex with a decent erection could you feel anything and able to climax? If yes I’d get the implant, but evidently my nerve or nerves must have been damaged so getting an implant doesn’t make sense . I’m 2 yrs now without sex which gets me down a little every day with a hot 68 yr old wife but doesn’t care about sex anymore now so I suffer alone, good luck
