Problems with Trimix?
My Prostate was removed several years ago. I have used Trimix to help with erections. Last week I injected and everything worked fine. However I developed a lump at the injection site. It has been over one week and while the lump has gotten smaller it persists. Should I be concerned? This has never happened before and I have been using Trimix for awhile.

Alprostadil, one of the ingredients in Trimix, causes a painful reaction in 20% of men who use it. Increasing the dose only makes it worse. After experiencing the same painful reaction as you have, I am now using a low-alprostadil version of Trimix. The discomfort, though still present, is at a much lower intensity and more tolerable. Another option is Bimix which contains no alprostadil. https://menmd.com/injection-therapy-guide-for-erectile-dysfunction/
I’m trying to determine the correct dose. No swelling or injection issues but rather a dull ache during the erection. Definitely kills sexual interest.
I agree, as much as I want someday to have normal sex , my fear of disappointment makes me only try injections maybe once a week with no satisfaction at all. My prescription was just changed to remove the ingredient that causes the stinging , we will see if it’s any better but if I can’t feel anything or have an orgasm I’m close to sadly give up
. I tried Bimix no stinging but was at 70 units and not a great erection and felt nothing, good luck

Thanks, Jeff! I’m doing the suggestions presently, just haven’t found a satisfactory dosing yet.
Although I had good results with Trimix for several years, I was constantly dismayed by the number of times I was left with bruise marks on my penis, even with the auto inject device. For whatever reason, once I started using the VA-prescribed EDEX, I have no more bruising. I don't use the auto-inject anymore, and the fact that it doesn't need to be refrigerated is a big plus. There are two different strengths and it arrives in medicated syringes that one prepares prior to injection. Injecting is still my go-to method of obtaining a good erection.
