Problems with Trimix?

Posted by rnpalarino1 @rnpalarino1, Oct 15, 2024

My Prostate was removed several years ago. I have used Trimix to help with erections. Last week I injected and everything worked fine. However I developed a lump at the injection site. It has been over one week and while the lump has gotten smaller it persists. Should I be concerned? This has never happened before and I have been using Trimix for awhile.

Thanks for this. I gave up on the vacuum device as the ring (despite the tight fit) could not maintain the erection. Maybe I needed a better pump. I did read that it’s useful for reminding the penis that it can actually get bigger and harder!

@byng94 I have similar experiences with Trimix working to a point where it is good for oral sex, but not penetration. My solution has been to inject Trimix, then use a vacuum erection device (ved) after a few minutes. The ved adds a little extra firmness and using a constriction ring prevents blood from leaking out of the penis thus maintaining an erection for up to 30 minutes.

One of the Mayo Clinic doctors discussed the type of problem you’re having with using the injection.

The problem is that the tubes inside the penis have a hole in them that prevents the erection from staying around. Using the pump and The ringing stops that leakage, but obviously not for long. Other people have much longer erection retention with the injection. I refer you to the video so you could watch it but unfortunately, Mayo is unable to get the videos to work outside of Mayo, Something they were working on getting resolved.

You would be a perfect case for installing an implant. That would allow you to get an erection without it leaking out. They are very popular, close to 90% of the people with them are very satisfied. You keep the erection as long as you want to,

Here are slides that discuss the implant and using the injection. The most common implant device in use today is The AMS 700™ Inflatable Penile Prosthesis is a leading 3-piece device used to treat erectile dysfunction, designed for natural appearance, rigidity, and easy concealment. It features antibiotic impregnation (InhibiZone) to reduce infection risk, with models offering girth expansion (CX), length preservation (LGX), or narrower options

@jeffmarc Thanks for your input, but I’m not really having a problem. The Trimix/ved combo works great for me. The Trimix gets me to a certain point (about 7 or 8 out of 10) and lasts for an hour. The ved gets me the rest of the way and the constriction ring prevents any leakage. The ring cannot stay on for more than 30 minutes (some urologists prefer 20 min), but that’s plenty of time for my wife and me. And when the ring comes off, I still have a lesser erection from the Trimix for the rest of the hour. So no need for an implant here.

@byng94 I assume you realize that the rings come in different sizes. I had to try several before I found one that was the right diameter to keep the blood in the penis. And yes, the ved is a great tool for penile rehabilitation. I use mine almost daily for exactly the reasons you mentioned.

@jeffmarc Hey Jeff - helpful hint: you may want to edit your screen shots to omit the photos of the guys who were viewing the same online presentation. It is a privacy issue, therefore a courtesy issue. Just sayin'.

Before the recording is started, they always warn people to change their names, emove their names or turn off their cameras if they don’t want to be recorded.

People know what’s going on and have decided not to make any changes.
