I just recently started using Tymlos. Do the arrows mean half dosage?
I have been using Tymlos for 12 days now. I had severe headaches, and nausea almost every single day all day long. My PA suggested to try every other night. On my pen it only has two clicks. The second click is two arrows. Does that mean that is half the dosage?

It’s the headaches I get.
Me it’s just feeling kinda wired- so odd! Hoping I adjust in time. 🤞🏻
@leslie2121 I started my first dose last night 8pm. Went to bed at 10:00 slept til 12:00 but woke up with a bad headache and feeling very mentally awake or “ wired”. Was awake most of the night after that. I may try daytime dose today around 3:00 to see if these effects are less at bedtime. I want to power through this!

2 Reactions@leslie2121 All the best with your plan. Many say it gets better after a few months. Hang in there! Think “ strong bones”. Walk if you can. I do 2 miles a day, which help significantly with physical strength and mood.

3 ReactionsThanks! 😊
@lynnsusan
It might not happen again. Give it a few days to get used to it.

1 ReactionSeveral years ago, I started on Tymlos. Initially, I, too, had side effects from the shots so the doctor advised to take them every other day for three months. That helped a great deal. Then I stayed on Tymlos everyday for 18 months until I started to get new side effects. Thankfully, it was long enough to make an impact along with a propriety supplement from my chiropractor. I have now been on Prolea for a few years. So far, no side effects! Don't give up! As one Director of Nursing told me, the alternative is far worse. Sometimes, when it feels like all is lost, we need to look inside for the strength and tenacity to stay with the right decision. Go slowly and build up to a daily dosage. It can work. Good luck!
