I just recently started using Tymlos. Do the arrows mean half dosage?
I have been using Tymlos for 12 days now. I had severe headaches, and nausea almost every single day all day long. My PA suggested to try every other night. On my pen it only has two clicks. The second click is two arrows. Does that mean that is half the dosage?

Each click is 10 mcg. To see the 2 directional arrows in the window together, you would have had to had 4 clicks which is 40 mcg. The injection is programed at 8 clicks or 80 mcg, so the answer would be yes, the 2 arrows would be 40 mcg or 4 clicks.

3 ReactionsI had my first injection yesterday and thanks to information on this forum - just did 2 clicks. That would be 20 mcg I think.
No issues but this morning I overslept and woke up at 10:30!
I felt woozy, dizzy and disoriented!
Gradually getting better but wow!! Wondering if I can do this…

1 ReactionLeslie, it sounds like the calcium effect. Usually it clears in 4-6 hours after the injection, though. It will be interesting to know how long it takes for the dizziness to clear. Did you take it at night?
The evening injections are a little more tricky because no one wants to be too hydrated and taking caffeine isn't the best for sleep. Did you have something salty.
You might try one click for a few days.

1 ReactionI’m hoping Tymlos is better due to being able to titrate the dose up gradually. I took it at 5 pm yesterday and didn’t notice much difference in how I felt.
But this morning- wow! I was just knocked out. I made myself get up and exercise some on my elliptical.
Better now but wondering if it gets easier and if I can go up to at least 40/half dose?
I am better! Gradually moving it up towards the early part of day. Getting #3 now.
Did anyone have trouble sleeping after taking it?
