Anyone had bladder, rectal and uterine prolapse surgery?

Has anyone had surgery for bladder prolapse, rectal prolapse or uterine prolapse, or all of them. How was the outcome, recovery, etc.

I am 73 and my prolapsed uterus totally covers my vagina and my urethra so I can never fully empty my bladder except when I first wake up when my prolapse is soft and I can push it inside past the bone. Then I hold it in and head to the loo. As soon as sit down, the urine I was holding all night and yesterday afternoon gushes out. I can only dribble and leak during the day and it runs down my leg. I have pain and pressure when my bladder is full until I push it inside of me and stand over the toilet or sit on it. I have an appt with a urogyno Wednesday and I hope he will agree I have to have this surgery because the previous 5 said to have a hysterectomy. I only want the one you had. Also have now a rectal prolapse. This is too difficult.

@flemyng I only want the LeForte and I don't know how to convince the new urogyno. I hope he sees my issues and agrees.

Had rectal prolapse surgery in May. Excellent surgeon--no problems. Waiting for digestive system to adjust to new plumbing arrangement; otherwise all is well.

I had laparoscopic POP repair. No hysterectomy. I'm on my 1st week post op with some discomfort, nothing big. I wonder if on my 7th week post op I could go on a driving trip for 15 days, I will not drive.

Hi everyone!
Had major prolapse of both bladder and vagina and saw urogynocologist.
He said no option but surgery. Had surgery in huge hospital in no VA.
He sewed everything back in place.
I’m still going fine now and surgery was done Dec 2015. Was about 6 wk recovery but not real painful.
Recommend finding an excellent
Urogynocologist. It helped so much! RL

@rened Did you have anterior, apical, and posterior? Or just your anterior and apical? Curious, have you had a previous hysterectomy before your prolpase? Thank you.

Yes, all three.
Had start of prolapse just before my total hysterectomy. So had sewing of vaginal area then but about 4 months afterwards had more prolapse problems so consulted with the
Urogynecologist.

I should have said no rectal prolapse happened to me thankfully.

I had vaginal prolapse with corrective surgery. Best thing ever!!! No vagina descending/ falling out. No rubbing of sensitive tissue on underwear. I tried PT with no improvement. It has been 2 years. I do my pelvic floor exercises religously but can't recommend the repair enough. Surgery was not bad at all. I think the most I took for pain was Tylenol and that only a few days. I agree with others, find a good urogynecologist.
