BP spikes and medicine question

Posted by anytime41 @anytime41, 11 hours ago

I am taking a BP regimen of 20 mg Nebvilol, and 25 mg of both Lorsartin and Spironolactin...also taking 10 meq of potassium...since February my EGFR as gone from 64 to 53 and my creatinine has gone from .99 to 1.13...I also a month ago started Wegovy .25 in a shot and I take 20mg Omeprazole. My BP is high at times and in the same day it can go as low as 89/57 and heart rate can by any where from 50 to 85...I think I am on a bad track...I have a cardio appt to discuss all these findings in 2 days but AI is telling me to go to ER or urgent care right now ...any suggestions.

This is just me, not an expert, but I don't think you need to panic or get urgent care. If you are feeling 'normal', have normal energy output, have no balance issues, no sudden tinnitus, no dizziness or nausea, are eating normally.....I would say wait until your appointment. What you have for data doesn't spell 'urgent'...to me. Yeah, in four weeks it might turn out differently, but not right now.

To lighten the load of your kidneys, you might discontinue the extra potassium, but I say that strictly on the basis of knowing that some kidneys don't do well on extra potassium. NOT that I think it would be safe for you to stop a prescribed regimen...only that potassium is hard on kidneys. But in two whole days, with you feeling okay, I think you're safe at home.

I do agree with you about all of the above. I feel fine.. I’m leaning towards the idea that it is the wegovy affecting the kidneys plus the extra potassium. I would stop the bp med without a doctors guidance.. thanks for your guidance.
