Hello, I had a very bad night after sex...legs throbbing, cramps etc..I was wondering if sex was to blame. I have not heard others report this .

@amour
Can you explain how sex causes neuropathy?
Thanks,

Hello,
Sorry about your pain.
Unless I am wrong, it seems that the other way around would make more sense. Peripheral neuropathy can affect sexual function according to what I was able to dig out from the internet. However, since our nervous system is a highly intricate web, anything can happen when we have peripheral neuropathy. I feel it will be hard to pinpoint which way things can go and the medical field, even with all the knowledge there currently is, still has an extremely long way to understand the complexity of the nervous system.
Best wishes.
Take care and have a serene day,
gus

Well at least you had sex. Ever since I got PN, I’ve never had an erection. It’s been years since I’ve had sex. I pee like a racehorse though. BTW, I have zero pain, just weaker legs, and balance issues.

@cit10jetjockey I have the best orgasms ever, leaving me to wonder if they might improve micro circulation and regeneration.
Or is it, as my neurologist claims, an idiopathic, incurable, progressive disease that will eventually wind me up in a chair.

I have to think that the intense pleasure I feel from head to toe when I have an orgasm has to be doing some kind of good, perhaps involving stimulating, micro circulation, and regeneration.
