Good scan but one minor new spot: Stage 4 HER2 Lung Cancer

Posted by mil63 @mil63, Jun 13 9:35am

Stage 4 NScLC adenocarcinoma, Husband scan showed great response but there was one new small spot in shoulder 3.6 SUV. Does it mean resistant/ NEW mutation/ inflammation? Should we proceed to try liquid biopsy, radiation, or just ask for a sooner scan again.
Also he had inflammation in one nipple 2.1 SUV and apparently this can be side effect, or I WORRY another kind of cancer.

@mil63 these reports can be so worrying. how large was the spot on the shoulder? did the radiologist make any recommendations for next steps? when do you meet with hubby's oncologist to discuss the scan results?

The nipple no one is worried appears to be a reaction to chemo but we will make sure to address

@mil63 glad hubby doesn't have to wait too long to see the doctor - let us know how it goes. 🙏🏻
