a good EP doctor can do ablation for multiple WPW syndrome 14 y/o boy

Posted by jphilopater @jphilopater, 6 days ago

My son is 14 years old had no symptoms diagnosed with WPW after ECG came back abnormal. We did Catheter ablation and WPW came back after less than 24 hours of the procedure. His doctor said it was multiple pathway in the right side near AV node, coronary sinus . Anyone experienced this before and if you know any EP cardiologist pediatric dr is famous for doing ablation near this critical location please share their info . I live in FL but I am willing to go anywhere.
Thanks

I don't think you can specific asked for a EP without being a patient and keeping with your initial EP. I have had the same EP since 2006. I have had other EP's read my Pacemaker device results but I see the EP on an ongoing basis.

Have your doctor refer you to Mayo.

Another good way to get in is to asked for a second opinion. That is how I initially got in and was seen.

Contact Mayo Jacksonville. They will have a screen to asked for appointment.

Dr Sam Asirvatham at Mayo Rochester would be the first person to talk to. He has unique experience as an electrophysiologist and Professor of anatomy. He’s the expert’s expert.

If you can travel to Raleigh, NC, contact this office to have test results reviewed. Set up a consultation visit, perhaps by phone with Dr. Byron Boulton. He is Director of the WakeMed Structural Heart Program at WakeMed in Raleigh, NC. Phone (919) 231-6333. I had a serious regurgitation/mitral valve problem and serious AFIB. He repaired my mitral valve, did an LAAC, and did an ablation to cure my AFIB. That was 4 years ago. I am as fine as wine, off all meds too, except for 4 amoxicillin before dental visits. I am an 82-year-old male, just a kid.

Sagan
