I am new here and just recently found out I have neuropathy.
How do you deal with unpredictable neuropathy pain? I don’t have any meds for it yet. It hits my feet and calves of my legs.

It sounds like OTC is likely the best and safest way to self treat this neuropathy. Is this a common deduction?
@granny73 If you are on a medication for control of epilepsy, could the medication be the cause of the peripheral neuropathy?
Massage, and then put whatever cream for pain on it. Like capcaisin.
@granny73 try compression socks (day and night). I have chemo induced p.n. at feet and hands. Mostly just c o ld numb feeling like with hitting elbow funny bone. Not really "pain", so no meds worked. I also wiggle the my toes and fingers a lot, type, play piano, swim, etc to get blood moving and retrain brain to recognize nerve impulses. If your neuropathy is c aused by a chronic condition, then different things might work but until you manage underlying cause it will continue.
@deanhobart I don’t know what has caused mine. I have numb toes and numb soles of both feet, back pain and cramping in my calves at night on rare occasions. Going to see PCP on 26th
@granny73 It never occurred to me that my epilepsy could’ve caused this. I’ve had it since my early teens.
Does Pickle Juice help? I have ordered some stockings to help with my neuropathy.
Magnesium glycinate is a good pill to take to avoid cramps. Also suggest depending where you live look into CET treatments. What I've seen is mainly offered in north Texas. I had rothby below the knee on the left leg and also in both feet. CET treatment has helped reduce that by 75%.
When you talk about a solution to neuropathy many if not most believe there is no cure. However I'm a living example that CET treatment works to a degree. It doesn't benefit me to share this info other than I know the pain and suffering I've experienced and would hope that others can benefit as well.
@dennisntexas Thank you, I started taking the magnesium and it helped! Is massaging my numb feet good to do?
