Help for dry mouth
I suffer from dry mouth (Letrozole) and it is very bad at night. The pharmacist suggested Xylimelts and I use one each night before going to bed and if necessary another one if I get up in the middle of the night which I often do. It works really well!
Cost is $17 Canadian a box and the box contains 40 pastilles. As they contain xylitol, you must keep them away from pets as they are VERY toxic for them.

I ended up talking to my dentist. She suggested different kinds of pastilles and chewing gum as well. However her first suggestion, which I rook, was to get a humidifier, as we live in the desert. I also am hydrating more. These two things combined work well and I haven't purchased gum etc. but keeping this as a back-up plan. Glad you found a solution.

4 ReactionsInteresting about the Xylimelts. For a different issue my PCP recommended I use a saline nasal spray with xylitol. Better than just the saline, the xylitol makes the membrane slippery, probably similar action in your mouth. Who knew?!

5 ReactionsI couldn't get the xylimelts to work for me. A bottle of Biotene however works great. One tablespoon before bed or before I leave the house gives me several hours of relief.
