I have been on 15 mg MTX per week for almost a year to provide relief while easing off prednisone. No side effects and I am finally down to 2mg Pred a day. It truly helped me. I am 74 with PMR

@savitchcrew I took methotrexate for more than five years and never had an issue. I was taking it along with Plaquenel and neither drug caused any problems at all. I believe prednisone is the cause of a lot of my ailments today though.
