Has anyone experienced this?

I’m 24 and have been dealing with chronic pain for about 6 years now. I’ve seen multiple specialists, had countless tests, and still feel like I’m searching for answers. A neurologist recently mentioned the possibility of a connective tissue disorder, but I’m still trying to process everything. Most of my pain is in my neck, between my shoulder blades, and my low back. Some days it’s a deep ache, other days it’s sharp enough to take my breath away. I constantly feel like I need to stretch or crack my back, but the relief never lasts. I’m honestly just exhausted and wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience. What has your chronic pain journey been like?

So sorry that you're suffering so.
Have you seen an osteopath or had acupuncture?

I hope you've had full body MRI so your neurologist knows what you are facing. Most of the pain medications that I've taken give me cognitive issues (sleepy & forgetting things); I try to get your doctor to think of things to help with the pain ... (ie physical therapy -- stretching & strenghting your core. I use Tramadol as a pain killer (no side effects ... excerpt constipation); I was on oxtcy contin & almost became an addict. I've tried so many types of pain killers. I had an ependymoma removed from my spinal cord 28 years ago. I've tried so many different drugs and physical therapy. Just be careful ... your quality of life is really important for you as well as your significant other. It will be a combination of therapy's that will help you keep your life in balance. As a result of my physical issues, I decided to work for pharmaceutical companies (Baxter, Novartis, Amgen, and Danaher); just retired 4 months ago; these companies are always trying to improve patient's lives. It was helpful for me to know that we were I'm-proving people's lives as well as knowing all of the pipeline products coming for pain relief. I think yopu'lll be fine if you keep seeking different ways to improve your pain levels.
