has anyone heard of/using Healthy Bones and the Bone Coach-Kevin Ellis

Posted by carolynprather @carolynprather, May 26 6:07am

I am researching as you all are. I am not wanting to take meds and have read about Kevin Ellis-The bone coach. He has osteoporosis and seems very knowledgeable. His recommendations are Healthy Bones-Collagen and other supplements.
Anyone have insight? Experience.?

I am taking Healthy Bones Collagen. I am on my 3rd bag. It is way beyond my budget to take everything he recommends, it’s very pricey in my opinion. I also started Tymlos 6 weeks ago. I strength and resistance train and walk daily. I am hoping with all this I can reverse my osteoporosis.

Thanks Diane2154. I agree it is not budget friendly so I am thinking about just the collagen. How are you tolerating Tymlos?

I guess I am one of the lucky ones. I have been tolerating the Tymlos amazingly well. I take it at 9pm and usually go read in bed for about one hour. I have had some minor nausea on a few nights but very minimal. I have been taking the full dose.

Can you slowly add impact training. That is what really builds bones. But start slow with heal drops

Dr Doug Lucas is a really good bone coach with lots of information on youtube. For me, Kevin Ellis is pretty expensive. You can also research comparative products that may fit your budget better and circumvent paying for marketing. It is important that the collagen has Fortibone in it and you balance out all of the minerals that you need. Unfortunately, regardless of the path you take, it isnt cheap but a lot safer than some of the pharmaceutical options. Do some research on BHRT, all pretty vital players in helping bone growth.

Check out algecal collegen. Same as healthy bones but a tad cheaper. Still expensive though. And I did find out you do not need to take more than one scoop a day to mimic the amounts used in the clinical trials.

I will check it out.
Thank you

I have followed Kevin Ellis for many years (he’s a St Louis resident like me). I’ve Joined his meetings, listened to podcasts and followed many of the people he partners with. I have learned a LOT about bone health and it has guided me on my journey. He has so much good information and I have independently researched much of what he says - all seems to be above board and backed up by research.

Recently however (since he started Healthy bones) it seems he is pushing his supplements hard. I’m not saying they are bad - just expensive. The hard sell is so off putting. I do take his Annatrol supplement as there is significant research on that product and I think his product is one of the better ones on the market. If I had had the hard sell at the beginning I’m pretty sure I would have stopped following and missed out on a lot of the information I learned.

@sueinthelou Thanks for this info. I need a density scan. Pretty sure it will be bad, no hormone replacement for years after hystertomy....had very serious health issue which lead to me being complacement. Im wanting to try his annatrol. I already do the collagen but as you say its very expensive but if the quality is there, worth the investment I guess.
