@sueinthelou Thanks for this info. I need a density scan. Pretty sure it will be bad, no hormone replacement for years after hystertomy....had very serious health issue which lead to me being complacement. Im wanting to try his annatrol. I already do the collagen but as you say its very expensive but if the quality is there, worth the investment I guess.

Don’t delay with that DEXA scan and I would also get your bone turnover markers tested.

Like you I had a full hysterectomy and never took hormones and they were never recommended. I was so naive in those days. Too busy with teenagers and work. I then had a DEXA 10 years later and found I had osteoporosis! I was in shock when the Dr told me and recommended meds without any real discussion about alternatives.

I started researching the meds and alternatives and went the natural route. I incorporated many of the interventions that the people in the “natural” community recommend. Exercise, diet, supplements etc and for the most part have been stable for the last 8 years. Had some improvements from osteoporosis to osteopenia in my spine and one femur. Had a bit of a set back last year so have ramped it all back up. I had also gotten a bit complacent. It’s very easy to do - especially when you have other issues to deal with!

Good luck!
