Fybromyalgia
Just been diagnosed recently. The meds aren’t even touching it. I also contend with RA from my lupus. I just feel like my whole body is just shutting down. At night it is the worst. I lie in bed like it is a coffin because I can’t move. I don’t know how all this works but I don’t mean to bring anyone down but I’m beginning to become terrified for the future. I don’t think I can keep living like this.

@fmcfs Not sure - the pharmacy gave me a “bridge fill” at no cost while my preauthorization is in progress. But also - Tonmya is just rebranded cyclobenzaprine, so maybe you can ask your doctor for that? It’s been around for a long time as a muscle relaxer.
@lwmarcrum I already take Cyclobenzeprine, but the pill is metabolized in your
liver. This puts a strain on your liver—especially when you take multiple pills like me. Tonmya is the first breakthrough med for Fibromyalgia in 15 years! It’s different because it is sublingual, thereby bypassing liver. Cyclobenzeprine doesn’t help me that much. Idk if Tonmya has other benefits.
@fmcfs
I am paying $900. Because I’m on Medicare I can’t use the Tonmya website manufacture website coupons. My pharmacy used other sites to reduce. I am at my wits end at the pain which keeps me home. Desperation is making me try it. We just got an annuity last month that is all going to this. I’m three weeks in and I don’t see much of a change. It really isn’t sustainable, but I was feeling very depressed and didn’t want to add a new opiate type drug. It’s really not worth it so far. I’ve also read that they don’t recommend elderly people, yes that’s me, to take the next dose of 5.8. Seeing my doctor Tuesday. We’ll see what she has to say. I’ve been looking at bupephrine patches.
