I’m so sorry. You’re sure you discounted all other possible syndromes that mimic FM/CFS? It took me a year and 10 different docs to get final diagnosis by a rheumatologist. It’s an idiopathic syndrome that presents differently for each person. For example, I had terrible migraines but no IBS. As an oncologist, you likely have huge stress at work. Stress is like gasoline in a fire for us. You need good coping mechanisms. Number one is regular counseling. Then gentle exercise. I teach Tai Chi for free. Yoga helps too. Then diet. Little to no sugar, gluten or simple carbs. That will be hard with IBS because I eat a ton of veggies. Rice is ok. Balancing meds that work for you is hard but not impossible. Tramadol and Prozac help me. We are famous for trying dozens of meds and protocols. Don’t give up because SOMETHING will work. DO (osteopaths) are the best doctors that understand us.

Great information for The young doctor that is struggling with fibromyalgia. You stated a few things about diet that I was not aware of. I will have to look into it as I got it when I was 20 something and now I’m 70 something.
Thank you for
