Constant tingly feeling on my urination tract

Posted by m1ch3lle @m1ch3lle, 4 days ago

Hi everyone!

A bit of background, Im only 17 years old, and I was diagnosed with UTI 3 weeks ago. I took antibiotics until my symptoms disappeared, and I took a urine test, and it said there was only a tiny amount of left-out bacteria left. My doctor gave me one last antibiotic after he saw my urine test. After that, my symptoms got better. I didn’t have to pee every 10 mins, my pee was no longer a tiny amount, and there was no longer constant urge.

However, one thing never changes. I keep on feeling CONSTANT, day and night, a tingly uncomfortable feeling on my urination tract for 3 weeks straight and up until now. Its not exactly an urge to urinate, its just a very uncomfortable tingly feeling, almost as if my nerves are very sensitive down there.

I couldnt sleep for days, I kept on staying up at night because I would need to pee 4x at night (around midnight and early morning too).

Im not sure if this is UTI or not because I dont feel pain or pressure at all. Its just this very uncomfortable tingly feeling that never goes away in every second.

Please help me. I seriously havent sleep at all and I feel like im going insane and anxious :(((

Hello, i have tons of chronic illness’s i will start of by saying that so when i was 18(currently 19, 20 next month) i was having constant irritation/tingling/weird sensation in my bladder that was causing me to miss all my courses my i attributed it my endometriosis and IBS, neuropathy. i went to the doc after about a month and had a negative uti test, about two weeks later same thing. i was dying from my regular pain but this pain but unbearable bc it was like inside it was like mentally messing with me and felt like i constantly had to go the bathroom. when k first gonsumtoms it was in nov in june i finally got tested for mycoplasma and ureaplasma and was positive for that and they gave me antibiotics and they worked for about two weeks then it came back. then i finally got a gyno that said it could possibly be a yeast infection bc i do get those when i take antibiotics so she gave me a pill for that that helped for a couple days. long story short she could figure it out, i was searching online and kinda had an idea of what i thought it was, i went to a urologist and he tried the same stuff, some new stuff none of it worked but he finally gave me the diagnosis i thought i had. it was interstitial cystitis. i encourage you to look into that. i get installations every week. for rat which is a hassle but worth it at this point. it is a debilitating disease that some people can never get under control and that is triggered by many different things but they can get it under control sometimes. but i have three that r debilitating so if u can get one under control i would look into it.

Oh gosh that sounds awful! 🙁
But I feel you, really, and I know how draining these illnesses could be. It drains me as well and I feel like I’m getting chronic stress and less sleep because of this :’)
It might probably be the stress that’s causing my irritation

I read throughout your story and I couldn’t imagine how horrible you must have felt for years, I truly sympathize with you.
I’ve heard a lot about internal cystitis but after I searched it up the symptoms are actually pretty similar to UTI. I don’t experience any pain for a month now, so I’m hoping it’s just a mild UTI.

Overall, what medication/antibiotic heals your cystitis the most?
