Anyone else on Daraxonrasib (RMC-6236)?
Waiting for the approval for my husband to start daraxonrasib. (the new and exciting drug just fast tracked by the FDA) Doc says he's a great candidate for this drug. Anyone else on this? I know about the awful rash you get from seeing the senator on TV. Doc has also styopped all treatment since April 11th. THAT kinda scares me?

@strongone21 Thank you for that information and good to hear you believe the side effects are manageable. I wrote "if her cancer metastasizes" since I think, from what I've been reading, that this is required for both the trials and for the FDA limited release of Daraxonasrab.

1 Reaction@gsf Sorry I misunderstood. I see that metastasis is a requirement for Daraxonrasib EAP access.

2 ReactionsMy brother has stage 4 pancreatic cancer, he has asked his MD about Daraxonrasib after it was granted expanded access by the FDA. He was told it still had to be approved by Mayo?! That doesn't sound correct to me. My understanding was that the oncologist needs to apply to Revolution Medicines to obtain it. Does anyone understand what the process is? Thanks

4 Reactions@scullen53 Hi and welcome to Mayo Connect. Here is the process from the manufacturer's website. So you are finding it to be different?

My dr applied. I'm with UCI, not Mayo. She told me the process can take about 2 months.

2 ReactionsThank you to all who commented and sent hugs. I did reach out to Rev.Med for clarification but they responded with the same info that is on the website. Your oncologist has to submit a request and after that it still seems rather vague. Hopefully the requests will be honored and there will be enough medication to meet the demand. My brother is not doing well and I hope he will be able to take advantage of this drug. At this point a couple of months is a long time. My support goes out to all who are waiting and hoping, I guess that is all we can do at this point. Thanks again for the responses

10 Reactions@alanbeavfan Yes it is specific for the KRAS mutation. We are also waiting for it. My husband has stage four pancreatic cancer, reoccurring after he was stage 1 and had surgery and 6 month of 5FU. Gemcitabine/Abraxane stopped working, so he is back on 5FU while we wait for the approval.

My oncologist who has done trials with 6236 says it also works on KRAS-wild genes, or cases where KRAS isn't mutated. I'm on 5FU now and Zolbetuximab (for peritoneal metastasis) and have about another month or so until 6236 should arrive for me.

6 Reactions@mcoplien Are you on just fu-5? I tried oral pills gave me to much pain so doctor wants to try low dose of fu-5 and no other combination.
