Help Mayo/UMN improve inclusion of LGBTQ+ people in cancer research
The Elsie Study at the University of Minnesota has partnered with the Mayo Clinic to improve how LGBTQ+ people are included in cancer research studies.
We want to hear from everyone: those who are part of the LGBTQ+ community and those who don't identify with particular labels. We especially want to hear and uplift perspectives from people with different racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds.

3 ReactionsAny study that specifically captures data relevant to healthcare for the LGBTQIA2S+ community gets my support. It's particularly helpful for those of us "of a certain age." The availability of data specific to the geriatric members of this community (and also with a higher likelihood of a cancer diagnosis) is desperately needed. I had a cancer scare last year and after numerous, highly invasive tests, was told I carry a cancer marker, but nothing immediately located. Every adult male in my bio-family succumbed to some form of cancer, so this data is very relevant to me.
