Seed localization procedure

Is the seed procedure painful? I have an intraductal papilloma that is being surgically removed. I found the behind the nipple needles for the mri biospy that found the papilloma to be very painful. I assume they will need to numb the same area?

I also had the seed localization the day of my lumpectomy. What have you been told about future XRays. My surgeon said that the seed is not a concern when having XRays. A nurse at a different hospital told me that I have to tell the radiologist that I have a seed. What have any of you been told?
