@susanblan yes...its way better than gabapentin..I can relate with the extreme pain all day so for now I use the gabapentin n I just use the lyrica at bedtime. tomorrow I go to pain management n hopefully they will prescribe lyrica 2-3 times a day instead of the gabapentin. I literally just started lyrica last week bc after the ulnar surgery the surgeon prescribed it but only until my follow up which is Tuesday n i noticed a huge difference especially during the night.

@joli48 how are you feeling now with your recovery from surgery. That sounds awful to me, so i hope to hear you have lots of pain relief. It is so hard to go through this, but we are strong and willful , so keep sharing any ideas.

@susanblan I know, it was totally unexpected!!! I hope they catch the guy. My splint got loose so I took it off n rewrapped it last night. I feel better a little more everyday but its so much tightness n tingling burning pain ugh! I'm sori, I replied to another message u sent before I saw this one, but yes I will absolutely keep u posted with ideas of what to do for the pain. my last message to u was about the lyrica but I also been trying stretches as well...not just for the wrist but for every body part lol they do help if u do it consistently.

Hello @joli48, Welcome to Connect. Good to hear that the Lyrica is helping with your hand pain. It sounds like you are still fairly early in your recovery from the hand surgery so hopefully thing will get back to normal for you soon. Did the hand doctor give you any follow up therapy or exercises to help the hand and fingers get back to normal?

@johnbishop Hi n thank u! I'm glad I found this website for support 🙌 so I go on May 19th to my follow up with the surgeon to hopefully get the stiches out n God willing everything is healing properly but I will definitely keep u posted on any exercises they recommend. I already started some small up n down wrist exercises but very slowly..also omega 3 fish oil helps with the healing process...well that's what my dad says lol but i looked it up n it says it will help with swelling..scar tissue etc. I also see pain management dr. tomorrow so let's see if they give me any exercises too!
