Any positive stories about Benzo tapering? I need hope
Would love to hear some positive stories from people whom have tapered off benzos. Positive only please. Give me some hope. No horror stories! I need some encouragement!

If you taper slowly enough, you won't even notice any difference. Your taping quite quickly. Slow wins this game. Why are you in such a hurry to get off?

1 Reaction@jakedduck1 I’m slowing down from here; will stay at least a week at 1mg. My doctor said a week at each level. I’ve been on it 8 months, and only recently had gone to 1.5 mg. Was under a lot of stress with moving & brother in hospital,

If you have any withdrawals I'd increase it and stay there for 2-4 weeks.
I tapered off 18 mg of Klonopin with no withdrawal issues except very mild ones at the end that were resolved.
SLOW!!!, SLOW!!!, SLOW!!!

2 Reactions@jakedduck1 thanks. Last night I took an extra .25mg. Hopefully my doc will write another Rx while I taper, if needed. She’s new to me, as I just moved

1 Reaction@kb2014a how much Klonopin were you on? You are very lucky you do not need it any more.
Feel free to private message me on Connect if you'd like.

0.5 mg TID or 3 times daily. Overmedicated by psychiatry . Anti psychotics anti depressants benzodiapines. My real issue was trauma codependency people pleasing allowing other people to control me being raised that saying no and self care was selfish. PTSD. I rely on skills like deep breathing letting thoughts come and go through my mind critical thinking fact checking boundaries saying no quiet time planning . I have w dogs are my legal ESAs.

1 Reaction@rosebookay meaning I should take longer with each taper? Perhaps that was because she prescribed Lexapro which I am not taking, I will double check with her
