Stage 4 Prostate- started radiation

Posted by coachsanta @coachsanta, May 15 4:08pm

Okay year ago PSA 25, since then PSA .04, SUV's down for prostate, C7,scapula after radiation. Getting Lupron, Xgeva, abiraterone, prednisone. Not done L1 yet because of benign masses-kidney. Onc wants totake masses out. Uro want to observe. Radiation Onc wants to see what they decide before starting radiation on L1??? What should I do?

@jeffmarc On 4/28/25 I had a CT Abdomen and Pelvis there were 3 right renal masses for multifocal renal cell carcinoma measuring up to 3.2 cm at the upper pole. Liver was normal. On 5/8/25 I had a nuclear medicine whole body bone scan It showed physiologic in the bilateral kidneys and bladder. On 8/12/25 I had a PSMA-PYL PET/CT Vertex to distal thigh scan-found normal physiologic uptake within glands, liver, spleen, kidney, bowel and urinary bladder. found-SUV max right hepatic lobe:8.4, PSMA -expression score Intermediate (2) liver. Mu;tifocal right renal lesions again seen which are better characterization prior CT scan of the abdomen. No definite renal lesion with increased tracer uptake. The liver, spleen, adrenals, pancreas, abd gallbladder demonstrate no suspicious lesions. On 2/3/26 my SUV scores decreased : left prostatic lesion from 11.3 to 4.4; left external iliac lymph node from 37.6 to 10.7; grossly right renal lesions. C7 from 31.6 to 3.0; L1 from 48.7 to 17.3.

2.54 cm to an inch. 3.2cm is pretty large. I can understand why they want to remove it.

Oh boy : (((, I am soooo sorry to hear that. Will they be able to do that with laparoscopy ? How long after that will they be able to treat your L1 ?
Wishing you the best of luck and sending hugs and healing vibes 🍀✨

@surftohealth88 Thanks ,yes it looks like laparoscopy. I tell you with disc disease (esp C4-C6), diabetes, Gerd, High LDL, prostate cancer and cancer in C6,scapula, and L1 this is just another curveball. But you know volunteering @ the hospital 15-25 hours a week for now lets me realize that there are many people worse off than me so I will continue to have good and great days and try to help as many while I can!
