I can’t find any pictures that really show what they’re talking about.
I have three types of lichen. I have a spot in the back of my hair that I have to put a steroid on every night if I don’t within three days, it is very angry, sore and hurt. It’s flaky like dandruff, but they call it from lichen Sclerosis.
I wish I could’ve found out more
I wish you a very best finding your questions

I was diaganosed with Lichen planus over a year ago. The itching was so bad on my legs they are now scarred . No more itching thanks to Nemluvio injection once month. I do however still have skin lesions. Some make my skin thickened and raw. I put Clobetasol Propionate cream on all my lesions daily. The only ones that have actually healed have had at least 3 injections of steroids!
Don't know if any of this helps. It is Summer and I will wear long sleeves and pants because these lesions look contaigous and are painful when bumped!

I have a question. If the sun makes it worse for you. Then I am questioning if you have an allergy to the sun. It is hard to fine a doctor who much about it.
Photodermatitis. That is what I was told I had
I bought light fabric long sleeve shirts I could put on and off easy. Big hats to keep the sun off my head and so on. I Love color so I bought lightweight shirts, and hats that are colorful. It made me feel good.
Certain times of the year I could be out with no problem, but otherwise my skin will hurt and I will get sores that don’t heal for a month or years. The doctor checked me for something once and it was negative. He put some stuff on my stomach and different stages of light treatment to see if I burned that was negative. I was then told there are many different things in our son and there’s no way for us to test for them.
I wish you the very best
