osteoporosis, implants and exercises

I am confronted with the situation when I am putting dental implants in few weeks. An then it is advised to stop activities like weight lifting, jogging and other . However, these activities keep me from breaking my bones and decreasing bone density. Was anybody in similar situation and what one can do in such case?

@nycmusic After dental implants, patients are told to limit strenuous activity for at least a week to allow for proper healing. This is because exercise can increase blood pressure and disrupt the healing process. Light activities like walking are usually okay after a few days.

I don't think stopping your jogging etc for a while, until your implants heal, will have that much of an impact on your osteoporosis. Start walking as soon as your doctor recommends and ask what other light exercises would be permitted.

I am having quite a few implants done, just finished 2 bridges and I am in the process of two more implants, exercises are only for a limited time after the surgery then you can resume as normal, double check with your doctor I’ve had no problems whatsoever,
