I went to the two day fibromyalgia class at Mayo, Jacksonville in October. I would say there were 12 people in the class. It was well worth my time. You learn about the history of fibromyalgia, what types of treatment are available and their effectiveness. At the end of the class you make a personal plan. They acknowledge the impact this disease has on all parts of your life. Many strategies are provided to help you cope and improve the quality of your life.
They also gave us a book, “Mayo Clinic Guide To Fibromyalgia” by Andy Avril, M.D. and Barbara K. Bruce, Ph.D., L. P. Dr. Bruce was one the speakers. She was very knowledgeable and helpful.

@christyj1 That’s cool they gave you a book at yours. Mine have all been through Rochester Minnesota. I left my appointment with a bunch of pamphlets to use for the classes. When I took the first 2 classes they also sent me helpful materials online in my Mayo portal that I could print off.
