I have to use Lisdexamphetamineor else I will go back to bed after being up 3 hours. My pain issues are all repetitive stress so I have to use Nortriptyline, Topiramaye for BMS and Tarsal Tunnel, Monthly Emgality injection for migraines, sm amount of xanex for sleep prn. Also Fioricet and Soma but only occasionally. We each have to do what we must do!!

@ellenblythe Makes me remember a side effect I had with Amitriptyline. A wonderful neurologist diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia after ruling out MS, etc. by giving me amitriptyline. Which is a tricyclic in same class as nortriptyline. It worked immediately and was so grateful. It made me tired/sleepy but it helped the pain . I had to have a pre-op due to eye surgery (not related to fibromyalgia) and when doctor did a EKG, the doctor called me and told me to stop the Amitriptyline immediately as test showed “QT prolongation”, that could be side effect of the Amitriptyline and could be fatal. It could also be a condition you are born. I was shocked and scared. I usually tolerate most drugs without serious side effects. Doctor changed it and retested and the QT prolongation was gone. I was given a different medication for the fibromyalgia. Just a heads up.
