Alternative treatments for diastolic dysfunction besides Jardiance?

Posted by ohallk @ohallk, 1 day ago

I've been prescribed Jardiance for treatment of diastolic dysfunction. I am no diabetic and now have elevated glucose in my urine, as a result of the Jardiance - and of course have the side effect of very frequent urination. Are there alternative treatments?

I’ve taken Jardiance for diabetes, its great for reducing sugar via urine and protects your heart.
What did your doctor say when sharing your side effects? Did they suggested other meds?

It seems GLP-1s are now being prescribed instead of (as well as together with) Jardiance. It is of course to treat “Obesity”. I say this because I am starting to see online that Jardiance was (and is) prescribed to treat “Obesity”.

Ironic - not overweight either - in fact quite thin. I noticed that I lost a couple pounds after starting Jardiance and have been keeping an eye on my weight as I don't want to lose more.

Thanks for your reply. Several months ago, she just stated that sugar in urine is just a side effect of the Jardiance and not to be alarmed, but I did contact her today about discussing this issue again.
