Post exterior bladder mass

Posted by hope54you @hope54you, Apr 25 3:44pm

Recently urinated blood. Went to the er. Ran a ton of test, CT SCAN showed a mass in post exterior wall of bladder. Referred to doctor for biopsy. Now I wait. Everything I read it doesn’t look good.

Dear @hope54you, I’ve been in your shoes (November 2023). My head was spinning and I was practicably numb with the news. I’ve had several ups and downs since then but am doing well with great doctors and treatment. I’m assuming you will have a TURBT? Whatever the form of biopsy , it will allow for a more precise diagnosis and treatment plan. There are so many types and variants that are very treatable. “Dr Google” can be dangerous as you probably know😊 Mayo Connect a great forum and you will find helpful information and support here. I wish you the best!

Sounds like PT2B. Immediate removal is usually recommended ASAP. If the extent is just into the fat beyond the wall and only visible on microscope it could be PT3A. If visible by the eye B. If N0 also the odds are not the worst. If into another organ it could PT4A or B depending on extent. Irregardless, immediate removal is advised followed by chemo and ICI. Or, alternatively, EVP is highly recommended. Time is of the essence.

Get a referral to a NCI center ASAP. Do not not panic. Be assertive. Good luck and all the best!
