2 Reactions@kakalena Hi Kathy thx for much for the very kind reply and info :). we did discuss NanoKnife with a renowned surgeon at Miami Cancer Center (Dr Horatio Asbun). That may be an option IF after this chemo we can get to tumor small enough for surgery. The challenge is that her tumor is in the body of pancreas, abutting the celiac artery....so IF can get to surgery it would be a "distal pancreatectomy"....
All the best of continued health and healing!

1 Reaction@meflip Thanks so much Maria, sounds similar to Lynne situation, but her tumor is in the "body" of pancreas, abutting the celiac artery, so goal is same...get thru chemo/fulfurinox for 2nd round, then early june scan and reassess for surgery (would not be Whipple, would be "distal pancreatectomy").
Prayers that you and Lynne both get to successful surgery! 🙂
Mary

3 Reactions@casey1959 I think I just called and then a rep called me back, they sent a coupon by email which I printed and gave it to pharmacy. Then for the refund she sent a link because I had a hard time finding it on the site. Once accessed I had to complete and submit with a copy of the receipt. The number phone number on his savings card is 1-844-ONCREON. They were really helpful. Hope this helps it definitely helped my husband those first few months after his Whipple.

3 Reactions@tomrennie it’s fairly new for pancreatic cancer. It was used for brain cancer and breast cancer first. It’s a device I’ll wear around my waist for like 12 hours a day. (Like I’ll use when sleeping or just hanging home. It stops cancer cells from spreading and kills only the cancer cells not the good cells. It’s not a cure per se but also will help with pain. And I’ll be doing maintance chemo pills a low dose since folinex messed me up. So who knows maybe the tumor will shrink over time.
