Anyone else get a flareup after MRI scan? I have been dreading my next

Dreading my next MRI because the last one was so cold & resulted in a 3 month flare/up. Anyone have any ideas on how to get the technicians to allow more clothing beyond a paper gown?

@nana75 MRI for your lungs? Or CT scan? Either way, if you are sensitive to cold, you can simply ask for warmed blankets. If they have issues accommodating you, please talk to your doctor in advance.

Thanks Sue, I definitely will try to get more blankets this time. MRI is to monitor growth of my kidney cancer tumor. My last MRI was 6 months ago & cold or sometimes just winds seem to bring on lung flares.

@nana75 I have had multiple MRIs with no impact on my lung function. As Sue points out, the MRI techs have warm blankets that they wrap around patients. They are very good about it at my facility, which is not fancy, so I agree with Sue, call in advance and make sure they can accommodate. If not, consider another location for getting the MRI.
