@jak365 Hi and welcome to Mayo Connect. How long ago were you diagnosed? What treatment did you have? When did the non-stop nausea and vomiting start?

Hi-I was diagnosed feb 2021. Whipple was 3/3/21. Appetite never really returned. Had a bunch of infections (cholangitis) the nausea and vomiting got really bad the past 3/4 months

@jak365 So you did the complete whipple triple? Sorry that you are feeling crappy again. How often do you get follow up testing/scans? Have you tried anything over the counter for relief?

REPLY

Follow up every 6 mos (though had them in November and Feb along with 2 biopsies which found no evidence of recurrence.
What do you mean by over the counter? I did try zofran- that didn’t work. Thx

My husband is having more nausea now, 2 years post tumor removal from tail. He has recurrent PAN CAN in his stomach Abrax/Gemcit was working, now his CA 19-9 is elevated to 4800, he might have bile duct issues (infection / or cancer) not sure, having a 3D MRI soon. Mike takes Compazine (prochlorperazine) when zofran does not work within 30 minutes, it might knock him out, but he feels better. kim
