@stonewheel great news….may you find the much needed overdue peace of mind. At last PMR has a chance to not be the center of your attention, just a part of your life.
I’m on Kevzara and so grateful to be rid of prednisone!
I don’t feel any side effects from the injections, thankfully.
Just had cataract surgery because the prednisone accelerated the need. Now I can see more clearly! 😀
I go to my rheumatologist tomorrow. I want to talk to him about adding Kevzara. I cant get below 14.5mg without more pain. Has anyone had a negative experience with Kevzara? Would you try methotrexate first? Ill talk to my Dr. Tomorrow, but I want to hear from people who have tried these meds. Thanks!
@mech I have been on Kevzara for two years. It is a wonder drug for me. No apparent side effects except for my white blood cell count is pretty low but not alarming to my doctors, but could have the effect of lowering immunity.

@howardgm Interesting, WBC low on me too, then he chged dosage to every 3 wks and , retested in 6 wks and WBC normal. Note: no side effects with dosage chg so we stayed with 3 wk intervals.
@linnead thats great!
@mech, I’ve had 4 shots so far. It has helped with some of my Cogans symptoms but not all. I’m hoping as the weeks go by it will get even better.

1 ReactionKevzara? So far, so good.
8 injections and PMR pain has not flared. SED & CRP where they both should be.
Prednisone tapered from 35mg/day, when I started Kevzara, to 5.5 mg/day now
(4 months.)
How long to take Kevzara? I don’t know.
