Tinnitus
Anyone experience tinnitus (increased--not entirely new-- at the end of week 4 in my case) from the meds and then had it recede after stopping the meds? Anyone experience permanent hearing loss? Did switching from Azithromycin to something else (what?) help? I've searched for this topic and all the posts I see are 5 and 6 years ago. Would be nice to have more current info. Thank you all.

IV tobi and neomycin etc. any mycin... will cause hearing loss and tinnitus. I have hearing aids now, Resound. There is an app for it that works with tinnitus training called Relief. It runs quietly in the background in your hearing aids and it truly helps.

@tinnituspatient
My one sided tinnitus is fairly well controlled with a hearing aid. I've read that CBT and antidepressants can also be helpful. Best to ask your PCP or ENT.
