PACS, low magnesium and potassium

I woke up feeling funny, called ambulance. Anxiety through the roof. Got to hospital they did bloodwork, ecg. I had potassium level 3.4 and was given iv magnesium. Ugh now whats wrong with me. Given rx for potassium 1500mg

@muppet7777 ...and there's more. At some point, you may end up back in the ER, face-to-face with that same internist, and what would you have to admit to him/her? Sheepishly....and still no better off for having unilaterally elected to discount his/her prescription given in an emergency? I honestly think, for a whopping 72 whole hours, what this person was asking you to do is reasonable. You're not going to suffer potassium poisoning in three days, not with healthy kidneys.
