Day 66 of a migraine, please help!

Posted by danimartinez @danimartinez, 2 days ago

Day 66 of my first migraine. I’ve been to multiple neurologists and headache clinics and had several ER visits. I’ve tried dozens of otc and prescription meds- nothing has touched it. My pan is a constant 7-8/10 24/7.

Currently on propranolol, gabapentin, memantine, ajovy, migranol otc supplement, magnesium, and daily electrolytes. No rescue meds have touched it.

MRI, CT, lumbar puncture, and many blood tests are all clean.

I’m beaten and debilitated. I can no longer work or function. Please help me! What has worked for you all?

I understand you. I am in pain 24/7. I had trigeminal decompression surgery. I tried all the medications available, Topamax, Gabapentin, Nurtec, Zipzor, Imitrex, Maxalt, Emgality, Aimovig, Ergotamine, Viepty, Ketamine, Percocet, Dilaudid, Excedrin, Zomig. I am going crazy. I am also depressed. 😔 I really hope you can find a solution soon. 🫂

Botox has helped me but not completely. No side affects. Bernie Boy

@bernieboy Botox doesn’t do anything for me. Nerve blockers and nasal lidocaine helps a little.

I am so sorry that you continue to suffer. Reyvow has been an effective abortive for me. I get relief for about 4 hours and thereafter it's a dull headache, head pressure. Unfortunately my neuro tells me that they will stop making Reyvow. I've tried Zevpret nasal spray as an abortive and it gave me very little relief. But it seems to work for some people. Some people benefit from Low Dose Naltrexone--LdN. It is compounded so if you try it have some check prices at different compounding pharmacies as pricing varies widely.

Sorry to hear what your going through as I have suffered from the same issues for the past 10 years and tried so many different drugs, scans until recently when I went to the doctors as I couldn’t cope anymore and this doctor who I’ve not seen before suggested I drop all the drugs and do neck exercises 3-4 times a day and wow! I’ve not had a migraine for the past 6 weeks, try it as it’s working for me hope it works for you- changed my life!
