Evenity injection site pain
Last week I had my 3rd Evenity injections. The MA told me with the first ones that they don’t cause sore arms because they’re given subcutaneous instead of IM. I had them in the morning, by evening my arms were very painful and that lasted into the next day. When I called the rheumatology office for advice I was told this never happens. Right. Same experience the second shots, though slightly less pain. Last week I had a different MA give the injections and mentioned the arm pain, she said that shouldn’t happen. Very minimal pain that time until late afternoon, then I was strapping ice packs to my arms.
Has anyone else had injection site pain?

@jeanneseeley I have learned that inaction into the abd leads to better absorption from my endocrinologist and the nurse practitioner at the infusion site.
I foudn the beely was best place as there is more 'fat' there. Also I found that the techniques used by the nurse made all the difference.
Make sure the syringe is warmed up
Make sure the nurse takes a pinch of fat and does not go directly into the muscle part of belly.
My nurse alsway did an angle shot
Use arnica antiinflammatory cream after ( I suggest inflamyar by Pekana -German company)
I found that the belly was best becasue it had more 'fat'. I agreee to make sure the sport is 3 inches away from navel. I foudn the techniques the nurse used made a big difference. Make sure she takes a pinch of 'fat' and goes into the fat ( not directly into stomach). My nurse went in at a slight angle.
Have the syringe at room temp. I was best with a fast smooth injection ( and not a slow drawn out injection)
Afterwards use an arnica antinflammatory cream ( I use inflamyar by Pekana from Germany)
This made all the difference.
However the medication did not work for me.. I am one of the non responders unfortunately.
