Anyone have experience with treatments for urge Incontinence?

Does anyone have experience using Mirabegron for urinary urge incontinence? I'm considering it for a long-term issue, but only if it doesn't cause or worsen cognitive issues.

Wow ive been on Mirabegron now for two weeks and the only side effect so far is dry mouth and possibly flushing (red face ) . There is another drug called Trospium someone told me about but don't think we can get it in canada but would be interested to hear if anyone else knows about it ? They said there was no side effects at all , worth looking into .

It has been a couple of years, and I don’t remember much. I was nervous and anxious and getting up in the middle of the night to pee, At least four or five times. I was disappointed because, although I did not wet my pants or have pee running down my leg, I was so nervous I could barely function, possibly because of the lack of sleep. Worst reaction I’ve ever had to a drug. Just stopped it, with no difficulty.

Hi thanks for your reply , i was at my dr yesterday and we have decided to try coming off it every other day so i dont have a reaction to coming off . I have been dizzy and light headed as well as blurred vision but not sure if thats a reaction to it . The biggest thing is i am so exhausted all the time . It has helped the nightime waking for going to the bathroom . Also i read you are n or stooge to take it for a long period of time .
How are you once you came off of it ? Did all the incontinence problems come back ?
Thanks vikki

Sadly after two weeks of staying dry the incontinence returned even though I have been on Myrbetric the entire time (since end of July). Now I only have problems at night some nights but not all. Not sure what makes the difference. Seeing urologist again on the 9th of November. Hoping for a better solution.

I tried it and gave me headaches.
I am on a new drug Gemtesa
It is expensive
Just started about March 4
2026. No side effects takes 2-3 weeks to work supposedly. Very expensive too.
I am going less but I have
NMIBC.

Hi Vikki,

Yes, all the incontinence problems came back. But I would rather have those than the side effects of that medicine! 🤣

Given the focus on incontinence in women, I am sure a drug will be found soon to control it. I am 80 and hope I live to benefit!

Good luck to you!
