Neuropathy in Feet: B12 injections, PRP & Stem Cells?
I have neuropathy in both my feet. Pain, numbness, tingling and burning. I have a massager which has a vibration mode, I apply topical solutions at night, being night time is the worse. I also had a podiatrist give me a bunch B12 injections right in my feet. It's supposed to regenerate the nerves. Tomorrow I have a Dr's appointment and I want to ask him about PRP or Stem Cell Treatment. Has anyone had either one done, or know anyone who did?
Thank you in advance for whatever information you can share...

The addition of B12 injections - not in my feet- helps me manage my neuropathy symptoms. It is better controlled. I can tell as I near the shot date. My flares increase When checked my b- 12 has never been below the norm.
I am glad I added b-12 to my routine
I give them to myself. I see the Dr every 6 months. She is not making money odd office visits.
Did the B12 shots help. I am currently getting those shots in my feet.
I did get the B12 shots and both feet did not work for me, but everybody reacts different still dealing with the pain mainly in my right foot have been for a couple years. Try every lotion every vibrating tool try ice and heat still dealing with it. We can go to the moon, but we can’t fix neuropathy.
@celia16 if you are feeling pain, your nerves are still alive.
Yes, nerves in your feet can regenerate, but the process is very slow—approximately 1 mm per day or 1 inch per month. Regeneration is possible if nerves are compressed or injured but not completely severed. While full, 100% restoration is not guaranteed for everyone, substantial improvements in sensation are achievable with proper treatment, lifestyle changes, and time.

@pamsweitzer , well….I’ve never had pain in my feet. I do have a slightly numb sensation, though my doctors say I have full sensation. I can feel the tiniest pin prick on my feet. Still, I have that slightly numb feeling. It’s far less than it used to be though. So, I’m optimistic, but can accept this sensation if I must. Hopefully, it won’t get worse.

1 ReactionAge 71, pregabalin is not controlling left foot issues at night, have tried ice and massage of foot with vibration style gun. I decided to pay for stem cell injection to left foot. Price is $10345. Creams and Tens reduce pain occasionally . I will post my success or failure of stem cells with left foot. Injection is requested with Amplified Wellness. My pain affects ability to get to sleep and stay asleep. Have a Good Day.

1 ReactionI have had numbness and cramping in both feet, and a much lesser amount in my hands for 6 or more years. I used to do a lot of research into anything (including stem cells) that might be a cure. Stem cell therapy is extremely expensive, and I have never heard from anyone that had success. I don't have any real pain, and no significant progression, so I decided to spend my time on more meaningful activities and just live with the discomfort. Most people don't even know that I have PN.

1 ReactionI have a genius doctor who has administered PRP, Plasma Rich Protein injections where he removes my blood, spins it and injects it (into my thigh). He changed my life. I asked him about PRP injections for nerve pain and numbness/tingling in my feet and he said it would not work.

@rjc1955 I can’t believe you paid that much for PRP ! My injections were $1500for arthritis in my rt middle finger, left thumb, and left foot. My doctor said he really fought to keep the price down at our hospital. It helped arthritis pain in hands, but the neuropathy in foot is still bad at night.
