Anyone Else Have Eyes Irritated by 7% Saline?

Posted by picartist @picartist, Feb 25 6:33am

Since I have started Nebulizing my eyes have become very irritated. Of course this could be from something else but just asking to see if anyone else has noticed something going on with their eyes that could be caused by saline.

I bought goggles from Uline and they are great! I put them on before I start nebulizing and I can watch TV while I’m nebulizing and protecting my eyes

What is Uline?

I wear safety goggles bought from Home Depot. Refresh Tears in the individual doses morning and night, too. My eye doctor told me not to use the drops from the multiuse bottles because of preservatives.

Sustain sells multi-use vials that are preservative free. Good for 90 days!

I don't know what nebulizer cups you use but make sure exhalation valve is away from your face.

I use an eye gel. Heat an eye patch in microwave and use for 10 minutes.
I have so much trouble with the drops so now rub gel in eye and blink a lot.
I prefer the drops but my hands shake so much.
