betaderm for oral lichen planus
I am seeing an oral pathologist for my oral lichen planus. I would like to know if there is anyone out there who has been prescribed this ointment, and what are the side effects?

1 Reaction@seekingcure101 and @becsbuddy I have been prescribed Lyderm gel (off label) for my OLP by an oral pathologist. I suppose Betaderm does the same thing. Lyderm gel works very well for me, but it is not recommended for extended use. I used it for ten days initially because my mouth was so sore but it is not recommended for use for more than 7 days at a stretch. I now use it occasionally whenever I have a flare.

1 ReactionRed Light Therapy
I was diagnosed with oral lichen planus in 2018. I have used a variety of steroids when I have a flare and they do work but it's always noted to use them sparingly and only when necessary. I am continuing to search for natural treatment options. Has anyone used a red light therapy device you felt helped?
@jeraberkana
What kind of ointment.
@jeraberkana, I have worked with red light therapy for other areas. However, I have never seen a device that can be used orally.
